Removal tool for struts
31 Oct 2011
Kamasa Tools is launching an allround tool for removing and installing struts, steering joints, hubs, and more.
– This is a tool that certainly belongs to the puller class but that is used to expand the mounting hole for an inserted strut, for example. That's why it's especially handy when removing and installing struts and steering joints, among other things, says Bert Lundmark, product specialist at Kamasa Tools.
The tool is made of a combination of carbon steel and steel alloyed with chrome and molybdenum to increase hardening in the jaws. It is specially developed to make work easier for the car mechanic and to improve safety when replacing struts.
– It can also be used since the slit that is to be widened is not centered on the part, which is common on steering joints, among other things.
The removal tool fits many different car types and is available from September.
