As an aviation technician, to be committed it is part of the profession. There are just no other options available. A technician is a higher level of mechanic who has the authority to inspect and sign off on repairs in the aircraft logbook.

To become a licensed technician, who has the authority to perform work on these aircrafts, requires many years of education and practical training. There are many types of different work tasks that are performed on an aircraft and not all technicians have the authority to perform all tasks. Instead each technician is certified to perform tasks up to a certain level of complexity. Moreover, some tasks are rated “critical tasks” and, for security reasons, require the presence of two technicians when work is performed.

Bengt has been working with aircrafts for more than 40 years and has the highest level of authority.

He is stationed at one of the airports outside of Stockholm but he also travels to repair aircrafts at other locations.

  •   Maintenance service and replacement of running-time bound parts are known in advance, where airlines can schedule a route that will fit service locations. When urgent matters or smaller scheduled maintenance appears, it is often both easier and cheaper to bring the technician.

Kamasa Tools has a special line of aviation tool sets put together from the requests of aircraft technicians. And to have everything in good order where all tools has its specific place is part of the safety work.

  • Before I start to perform my work on an aircraft I note that all tools are in place and after my work, I do the same thing. Nothing can be missing where a forgotten tool in an aircraft could be devastating. We have the same routine when we travel to perform work but we cannot bring the whole tool trolley so we have a system of different bags or boxes for specific type of work. Kamasa Tools has not only provided us with good quality tools, but has also been very responsive to tailor-make the tool sets the aviation business require.
